A Perfect November Escape: 5 Nights in Seville, Spain

In mid-November 2025, I took a wonderful trip to southern Spain with Seville as our home base, and it turned out to be the perfect time to go.

Travelling just before Thanksgiving week meant low-season prices, fewer crowds, and still pleasant fall weather. While we did experience a bit of rain, it never disrupted our plans. In fact, even in the low season, Seville never felt quiet. The city stayed lively, with people gathering outside restaurants, enjoying drinks and tapas, and socialising late into the evening. Even on rainy days, the atmosphere was warm and vibrant, which made experiencing Seville in November feel authentic and relaxed rather than slow or empty.

One of the best decisions we made was staying in Seville for all five nights instead of changing hotels. We booked a centrally located 4-star hotel, which allowed us to explore the historic center easily on foot. Cathedrals, plazas, tapas bars, and charming streets were all just steps away.

To add flexibility, we rented a car and took easy day trips:

• Córdoba, to visit the stunning Mezquita and wander its historic old town

• Granada, to experience the unforgettable Alhambra, a true highlight of the trip

Both destinations were very manageable as day trips, letting us return to Seville each evening without the hassle of packing and moving hotels.

Another pleasant surprise was the cost. With flights, hotel, and car rental, the total trip came in under $2,000 for two people, an incredible value for a European getaway that included culture, history, and comfort.

This trip reminded me that timing can shape a trip just as much as the destination itself. Seville in November was beautiful, relaxed, and full of charm, but it also offered something else I always pay close attention to when planning travel: value.
